In Memory

Loren Peck

Loren "Lorny" Peck Jr., 51, of Minneapolis, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, in Minneapolis.  (He collapsed at home and died from a stroke and/or heart attack. Completely unexpected and heartbreaking.)

Lorny was born on Dec. 28, 1962, in Sioux City, to Loren Sr. and Jean Peck. He graduated from North High School in Sioux City, class of 1981, and was a proud graduate of the University of Iowa. Lorny lived for the moment, had an incredible smile and created memories where ever he went.

Lorny was a loyal Iowa Hawkeye football fan, enjoyed time with his friends and family in Okoboji and the Lake of the Ozarks, and was incredibly proud of his daughter, Alec (age 18).

Lorny is survived by his beloved daughter, Alec Jo, and her mother, Darcie, of Champlin, Minn.; brothers, David (Sherrill) Peck of Sioux Falls, S.D., Charlie (Diane) Peck of Omaha, and Greg (Donielle) Peck of Sioux City; sister, Cindy (Steve) Monell of Fort Collins, Colo.; 14 nieces and nephews; 12 grandnieces and nephews; and special companion Zoey, Lorny's German Shepard.

Lorny was preceded in death by his parents.
