Ron Stone VIEW PROFILE

Ronald R. Stone, 40, of Le Mars, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at Orange City Municipal Hospital in Orange City, Iowa.

Ronald was born Aug. 23, 1963, in Sioux City, to Richard R. and Carol L. (Rea) Stone. He married Kathy L. Solomon on Nov. 17, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nev.

A 1981 graduate of Sioux City North High School, he was an active wrestler and a photographer for the yearbook. He then worked with his father at the Sioux City distribution office of the Des Moines Register. He also operated a service station in Leeds, where he cultivated his love for repairing and restoring cars. He then moved to Pella, Iowa, and worked at Pella Corp., a clothing manufacturer. He came back to Siouxland, where he was the co-owner and operator of Ideal Cleaners of Le Mars with his wife, Kathy.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, repairing cars and playing cards. He was a long time member of Morningside Masonic Lodge 615 A.F. & A.M., where he was installed as Master of the lodge in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughters, Mikayla, Whitney and Mariah; a son, Eric; his mother and her husband, Carol and Mack Lewis of Sioux City; sisters and their husbands, Cindy and Michael Meylor of Milford, Iowa, and Tracy and Tom Jackson of Wichita, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; and grandparents, Fred and Leone Rea and Robert and Viola Stone.

Pallbearers will be Dale Staggs, Heath Husk, Dale Gaul, Dave Jacobsen, Rich Uhl and Mark Trowbridge.
